Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Do you find yourself struggling with loss or life changes and find it difficult to cope? Are you having symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictive or unhealthy behaviors? When many think of loss and grief, one may assume they have lost a loved one. At times this is the case, but there are so many kinds of losses we are faced with in our lives; loss of self, loss of roles in life, loss of relationship, chronic illness and many more. Losses can cause us to question our lives and who we are, and can even bring up past hurts or negative ways of coping that are not helping us achieve our best selves.
I have been in the helping field since 1996, obtaining my LICSW in 2008. I have had the opportunity to help people in multiple settings and from different walks of life, which gives me the benefit of seeing things from different perspectives. As a therapist, I work from different types of therapy depending on what your need may be.
I’m here to help you figure out what your needs and goals are, and to help you gain the insight you may need to make positive changes in your life, change unwanted behaviors, and the way you relate to others.

Theresa Gachuna works with people who are struggling to cope with loss, life changes, anxiety, depression, stress, and patterns of addictive or unhealthy behavior. She acknowledges that grief can take many forms beyond the death of a loved one – including loss of self, shifting life roles, the end of relationships, chronic illness, and other changes that may reopen old wounds or reinforce unhelpful coping habits.
With 12 years of experience, she is a female therapist who adapts therapeutic methods to fit each person’s needs, drawing on approaches suited to the client’s goals and circumstances. Theresa holds an MA and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), license number 114614 – the MA denotes a Master of Arts and the LICSW indicates clinical social work licensure.
She has helped people in multiple settings and from varied backgrounds, which informs her ability to view concerns from different perspectives. Theresa aims to help clients identify needs and goals, gain insight, make positive changes, alter unwanted behaviors, and improve the ways they relate to others.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One key benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to schedule sessions around work, family, and other commitments.
Services are provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and you have the option to switch therapists if you decide a different fit would be better. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, practical path to consistent support for everyday mental health concerns.
