Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been working in Behavioral Health for over 20 years. I received my undergraduate degree and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois. Since then I have primarily treated issues such as suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and trauma history. My style is warm and supportive. I see myself as your tour guide as we navigate through the issues you want to work on.
Being a social worker, I believe that the change has to happen both within a person and in their environment. I focus on capitalizing on existing strengths, or building new ones. I use a lot of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which primarily means that we learn how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how to deal with that. I try to help a person get to the core of where their anxiety derives from in order to quiet the body and the mind.
My newest area of passion is trauma. We have all been through “stuff” and often we minimize the effects of that in our lives. However with my knowledge of how trauma affects our brain and therefore our moods and behaviors, I can assist you in coming at things from a direction you might not have thought of in the past.
Please note: while I will provide assistance, guidance, and support, this is YOUR therapy and you should expect to do most of the talking 🙂 My style is reflective with gentle nudging, and a dash of humor 🙂 I look forward to working with you!

Terra Ogle is a licensed clinical social worker based in Illinois with 21 years of experience in behavioral health. She earned both her undergraduate degree and her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois and has spent her career addressing concerns such as suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and histories of trauma.
Her approach is warm and supportive, and she often describes her role as a tour guide who helps clients navigate the issues they want to work on. As a social worker she emphasizes that change involves both the individual and their environment, and she works to build on existing strengths while developing new skills.
Terra frequently uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and teaching strategies to calm the body and quiet the mind by tracing anxiety back to its sources. Her most recent clinical focus is trauma – she recognizes how past experiences shape brain responses, moods, and behavior, and offers perspectives that clients may not have considered before.
While Terra provides guidance and support, she makes clear that therapy is the client’s work and that clients should expect to do most of the talking. Her style is reflective with gentle nudges and a dash of humor to keep the process approachable.
She holds LCSW credentials in both Indiana and Illinois – professional clinical social work licenses in Indiana (IN LCSW 34008217A) and Illinois (IL LCSW 149.014957) – and offers services from her Illinois-based practice.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person treatment. It can be a practical option for people seeking help for everyday mental health needs.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect with licensed professionals in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level – through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to maintain continuity of care even when life is busy.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the ability to change therapists if they are looking for a different fit. For many individuals, online therapy provides an accessible, effective way to work on mental health goals while fitting treatment into their daily routines.
