Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
About Me
I’m Tanya Samuelian, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles. I know how overwhelming modern life can feel—holding it together for your career, relationships, and family often leaves little space for your own needs. Therapy offers a place to slow down, take an honest look at what’s going on beneath the surface, and begin building more sustainable ways of living.
My Experience & Education
I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University and have spent nearly a decade supporting young adults, professionals, and couples. Many of the people I work with appear “together” on the outside but struggle internally with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or relationship stress. I specialize in helping high achievers untangle cycles of overthinking and reconnect with parts of themselves they’ve pushed aside.
My Approach
My style is collaborative, warm, and practical. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral tools, tailoring the process to fit your needs and pace. Sessions are structured enough to create progress but flexible enough to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore the patterns shaping your life, understand the “why” underneath them, and practice tools you can carry into your day-to-day.
How I Can Help
Whether you’re balancing the demands of a career, working through relationship challenges, or feeling weighed down by anxiety, therapy can be a grounding place to pause. I don’t believe in “fixing” you—I believe in helping you understand yourself more deeply, find language for your experience, and create shifts that feel doable and lasting. My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more steady, less alone, and more connected to what truly matters to you.

Tanya Samuelian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, California. She holds the California license CA LMFT 108113, indicating her credential as a licensed marriage and family therapist, and brings nine years of clinical experience to her work.
She earned a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University and has spent nearly a decade supporting young adults, professionals, and couples. Many people she works with present as outwardly composed yet struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or stress in their relationships. Tanya focuses on helping high achievers unwind patterns of overthinking and reconnect with parts of themselves they may have set aside.
Her style is collaborative, warm, and practical. Tanya draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, adapting the approach to each person’s needs and pace. Sessions are structured to promote progress while remaining flexible enough to meet clients where they are, and she works with people to identify the patterns shaping their lives, surface the underlying reasons for those patterns, and practice tools they can use day to day.
Whether someone is juggling career demands, navigating relationship difficulties, or carrying the weight of anxiety, Tanya offers therapy as a place to pause and regain steadiness. She does not aim to simply “fix” people – instead she helps them develop clearer self-understanding, find language for their experience, and create manageable, lasting change so they leave sessions feeling steadier, less alone, and more aligned with what matters to them.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical practice have shown comparable outcomes for these kinds of issues when people work with a qualified professional remotely.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the format that suits them best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to choose the communication style that feels most comfortable.
All therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists if they need a different fit. Online therapy can provide a practical, accessible way to begin or continue mental health work without sacrificing professional standards of care.
