Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 20 years of experience working as a therapist in private practice. I have worked with a wide variety of clients, ages 8 to 80, who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and trauma.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. At times, I may utilize humor to highlight a concern, at other times I may be more directive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy while incorporating natural and holistic styles in treatment. I also believe in matching the treatment style to the person and not the person to the treatment style.
It takes courage to take steps towards change. I am here to listen and offer my support and guidance every step of the way.
I have availability for Better Help on Mondays and Fridays. Please note that I do my best to return messages at least once a day, however if I am in session or Tuesday-Thursday when I am working in person it may take me several hours or until the evening time to return messages.

Tanya Roberts is a California-licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience providing therapy in private practice. Over the course of her career she has worked with a wide range of clients, from children as young as eight to adults in their eighties, addressing concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, self-esteem, sleep problems, parenting and career challenges, bipolar disorder, and LGBT-related issues.
Her approach to therapy is warm and interactive. She may use gentle humor to draw attention to a concern at times and be more directive at others, always treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Tanya typically uses cognitive behavioral methods while also integrating natural and holistic techniques when appropriate, and she tailors the treatment approach to fit the individual rather than forcing the person to adapt to a single method.
She recognizes that taking steps toward change requires courage and offers listening, support, and guidance throughout the process. Tanya holds a California clinical social work license (LCSW), credentialed under license number 20414, which authorizes her to practice as a clinical social worker in the state.
She has availability for Better Help on Mondays and Fridays. Tanya does her best to respond to messages at least once per day; however, if she is in session or working in person on Tuesdays through Thursdays, it may take several hours or until the evening for her to reply.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and life transitions – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical experience show that these common issues often respond well to remote sessions with a trained therapist.
One major benefit of online therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that suits them best – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life. This range of communication options helps remove barriers related to travel and scheduling.
All therapists providing online care are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they feel another provider would be a better fit. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible, practical option to pursue meaningful progress.
