Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I provide treatment for a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress management, grief/loss issues, parent/child conflict, and marital issues. I try to ally myself with people to assist them in focusing on and strengthening personal values, spiritual beliefs, and relational skills the person already possesses to address life challenges.
I am a North Dakota native, who for the past 42 years have worked with children, youth, and adults in a number of different settings and professional capacity. I have worked for Juvenile Court; Public Schools, K-12 over the time that I was doing that; Long Term & Therapeutic foster care programs; Youthworks’ a private full spectrum of youth/family services provider in Bismarck and Fargo; and St. Alexius Medical Center mental health programs (Archway & Partial Hospitalization Program) providing child/adult/family outpatient individual and group psychotherapy. I have always collaborated with a wide range of other helping agencies in the community. I will always work with the client to determine the best treatment focus, and method, in an open and collaborative manner. I do utilize eclectic therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Solution, Strengths Based Focused strategies, as well as other methods. Although much of my work has been with children and adolescents, it has always been in a whole systems, person in environment context that has proven to be consistent with the work that I have done the past 12 years in private practice focused much more on adult individual relational issues.
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work in ’86 from the University of Denver, and have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since ’03.
