Stacy Leo is a licensed independent social worker authorized for clinical practice in South Carolina. With 10 years of clinical experience, she provides therapy and support to individuals, couples, and families.
She brings a strong background in military culture and has worked closely with service members, veterans, and their families, assisting them with deployment stress, reintegration, and family transitions.
As a Master Trainer certified in the FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) model, Stacy offers specialized skills in resilience-building, communication, and family-strengthening strategies. She has also completed extensive trauma-informed care training, which informs her compassionate, evidence-based approach to addressing the effects of trauma on mental health and relationships.
Stacy creates a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment that helps clients develop coping skills, enhance communication, and promote emotional well-being in both personal and family life. She works with people on stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, parenting concerns, depression, addictions, family conflicts, grief, anger management, career difficulties, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
She tailors conversations and treatment plans to each person’s needs and approaches every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Stacy recognizes that beginning therapy takes courage and she affirms clients for taking that important first step.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their lives, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to attend sessions consistently and fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide care through these channels, and clients can choose a therapist who feels like the right fit. If a different match is needed, switching to another therapist is an option.
