Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, my name is Sharon, I am a Licensed Clinical and Macro Master Social Worker (LMSW) from the state of Michigan and currently reside in Southern California. I am also a Certified Anxiety Treatment Profession in Social Distancing. I have 16 years (and counting) of experience with working with family, children, teens, adults and couples.
I believe that growth comes through challenging experiences that ultimately forces us to learn how to move forward in life and to re-evaluate our self-worth. I have had my own personal struggles in life, medically and emotionally, and have learned to work at overcoming them. I am a very understanding person and know that we all need someone to talk to and to find comfort in without being judge, and that is the reason I would like to be that person for you.
I look forward with working with you!

Sharon Sumler is a licensed Master of Social Work practicing in Michigan, credentialed to provide both clinical and macro social work (MI LMSW 6801085876). She brings two decades of experience supporting families, children, teens, adults and couples.
Sharon approaches therapy with the belief that meaningful growth often follows difficult experiences – moments that prompt a reassessment of self-worth and teach new ways to move forward. She draws on her own medical and emotional challenges to inform a compassionate, nonjudgmental style aimed at helping people find comfort and perspective.
Warm and approachable, Sharon seeks to be a steady presence for those who need someone to listen and help navigate change. She looks forward to working with individuals and families seeking support.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care. It can be a practical option for people seeking help with these issues.
One of the clear advantages is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the way that suits them best – by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, adaptable path to support and improvement.
