Sharon Esters is a licensed professional counselor practicing in Texas who brings a personal commitment to helping others navigate difficult life challenges. She transitioned into counseling after a long career in the insurance industry, feeling called to work that aligned with her values and desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in 1996, Sharon spent 12 years working as a worker’s compensation adjuster. When her employer downsized and she was laid off, she faced a turning point about how she wanted to spend her working life. Enrolling in her first counseling class confirmed that becoming a counselor was the right path for her, and she pursued that direction with purpose.
Sharon finds meaning in educating clients about managing mood disorders, handling stressors, and offering guidance through some of the most challenging moments people face. She brings six years of experience in therapy and is licensed to practice in Texas as a professional counselor (TX LPC 77395). Sharon approaches her work with hope, practicality, and a focus on helping clients build more satisfying, resilient lives.
She is available to support clients through a range of concerns and welcomes the opportunity to work together toward their goals.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For a wide range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional face-to-face sessions.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can choose the mode of communication that fits their needs and schedule best: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to prioritize care without rearranging an entire day.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change providers if they need a different therapeutic fit. For many people, online therapy offers a practical, evidence-informed way to address everyday mental health concerns while maintaining the support and structure of regular treatment.
