Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello!
My name is Samantha Evans, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I received my Bachelors of Science degree at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN. After graduating in 2012, I began my work in the mental health field by working at and managing group homes and adult foster care facilities for individuals with behavioral and developmental disabilities. I then went to Graduate School at St. Cloud State University for Rehabilitation Counseling. I graduated from SCSU in 2016, and began working as a school-based CTSS Practitioner. I then transitioned to being an ARMHS worker, and eventually became a Mental Health Professional/Clinical Trainee in 2018. I practiced individual psychotherapy to children, teens and a few young adults in a variety of settings until 2021. I have experience working as a school-based, office-based and online-based therapist. I also provided individual and group therapy for teenagers at the local juvenile detention center for 8 months.
I am currently working as an adult mental health case manager as my Monday-Friday “9-5” job, but I am very excited to jump back into the world of online therapy after taking a brief hiatus.
I have the majority of my experience working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and phase of life concerns. I have national certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have experience working with a crisis response team, providing assessments and stabilization towards individuals in need of this service.
I am interested in working with clients on BetterHelp to increase my experience working with adults as well as continue to seek out my true therapeutic calling. My therapeutic style is very laid back, and strengths based. I like to focus on helping individuals identify their strengths and then practice and apply those strengths to overcome obstacles in everyday life.
I look forward to meeting with you, and please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you wish to know more!

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most individuals.
A major benefit is the flexibility it offers – clients can choose the format that fits their routine and comfort level, whether that is video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it easier to keep therapy consistent amid busy schedules.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients often have the option to switch therapists if they are seeking a different therapeutic fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible and practical way to engage in mental health work without sacrificing the quality of care.
