Renee Guerrieri earned a master’s degree in social work from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida (FL LCSW SW10951), which denotes her credential as a licensed clinical social worker. She brings approximately 27 years of clinical experience working with a wide range of clients, offering individual, marital and relationship, and family therapy.
She is certified to deliver Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and primarily practices short-term, solution-focused, evidence-based approaches. Renee also provides psycho-educational sessions that emphasize effective communication skills, “fair fighting” strategies for intimate relationships, rebuilding trust and enhancing intimacy, coping skills across life stages, and social skills.
For the past 18 years she has worked with active duty military members, Veterans, and their families and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges they face. She has extensive experience helping clients address grief and loss, parenting concerns, life adjustments, and intimate relationship issues.
Renee treats each person with dignity, respect, compassion, and unconditional positive regard, and she tailors conversations and treatment plans to fit each individual’s needs. If a client needs an approach she is not trained in, she will refer them to another provider. She recognizes that beginning therapy takes courage, and she aims to support and empower clients throughout their therapeutic journey.
Many people wonder whether online therapy produces meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that best fits their lives, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it easier to maintain regular sessions and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists providing online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they seek a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical and effective way to access professional help for many common mental health and relationship concerns.
