Rasheda Long is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Alabama (AL LICSW 4781C) with five years of experience in mental health. She began her career as a school-based therapist in Huntsville City Schools and later practiced in community mental health in Fayetteville, TN. She currently balances contract work while supporting a private practice.
Rasheda has worked with clients aged three and up on concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar and other mood disorders, grief, family conflicts, attachment challenges, and self-esteem difficulties. Her clinical work incorporates interventions like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), and solution-focused therapy, among other approaches.
She believes every person has at least one strength, however small, and she helps clients identify and use that strength to navigate their mental health journey. Rasheda views clients as the experts on their own lives and serves as an “assistant professor” to support them when additional guidance is helpful. With empathy, compassion, and a straightforward manner, she looks forward to working with individuals as they work toward their therapy goals.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major advantage is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy life.
Each therapist offering online services is a licensed professional, and if a different fit is needed clients can switch therapists at any time. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical option for addressing everyday mental health concerns and working toward meaningful change.
