Dr. Ralph Levinson is a Florida-based clinical social worker with 35 years of experience helping adults and older adults navigate loss, family change, mood concerns and relationship challenges.
He holds a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, a master of social work from Barry University, and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida - a credential that reflects his training and professional scope (FL LCSW, license SW3131). He is also a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. For a time he served as the School Social Work representative for the Broward Chapter of Florida social workers.
Dr. Levinson specializes in bereavement and grief work, parenting and family therapy, and divorce adjustment, and he also works with blended and step-families, adjustment disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, and a range of issues adults and older adults commonly face. His practice includes helping with stress, family conflicts, relationship and parenting issues, anger management, self-esteem, and coping with life changes.
His clinical approach blends traditional psychotherapy with solution-focused brief methods, family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and experiential techniques that invite active participation. He aims to provide a comfortable, non-threatening setting where people can express their feelings and work toward practical change.
Outside of his work, he enjoys film, a wide range of music, playing and watching sports, and occasionally playing video games. He looks forward to guiding, directing, and supporting people through their journey so they can live their lives to the fullest.
