Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
You are courageous for taking this step to better your mental health. I have been serving our community as a Licensed Professional Counselor for 18 years. I enjoy helping people overcome depression, anxiety, grief, and life changes through my eclectic approach including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Rational Emotive, Person Centered and Brief Focused Therapist. Through developing skills to process grief, increase mood, or navigate life changes, I find happiness as you reach your mental health goals.
Outside of the office, my passions include nature walks, hiking, snorkeling, exploring new cultures, playing the piano and flute, singing, dancing, and game nights. I am best friends with my twin sister and her family. My cats, Bob and Precious, are so loved, they have their own room with a view.
My undergraduate studies at Missouri Western State University included playing in the marching band as a first year music major. As part of my courses, I developed a love for other cultures and how they celebrate life through music. My second year, I took time to explore other studies and fell in love with psychology. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. I went on to the University of Central Missouri were I completed my Master’s of Science in Psychology.
My first position as a Counselor was working with urban youth in the area of Substance Abuse. With this role, I gained a wealth of knowledge in Substance Abuse, which I applied to helping adults overcome their addictions. I went on to work in this field for 13 years. In Hawaii, I developed skills in Behavior Modification working with troubled youth , their families, and school staff. At Metropolitan Community College, I helped displaced workers develop workplace skills to re-enter the work force in a new career. I have had a private practice for 6 years helping individuals like you with grief, anxiety, and life changes. When you are ready, I am here to assist you in your journey for better mental health.
Please note, the one area I am not trained in is trauma. As I am not trained in this area, my licenses prevent me from working with anyone who has had a traumatic experience, even if it is not the reason you are currently seeking therapy. Thank you for your understanding in this.

Rachel Jones is a Missouri-based counselor with 20 years of professional experience addressing stress, anxiety, grief, self-esteem concerns, career difficulties, coping with life changes, relationship challenges, sleep disorders, and coaching needs. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy – blending Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Rational Emotive, Person Centered, and Brief Focused therapy to help people build skills for processing grief, lifting mood, and navigating transitions.
Her academic path began at Missouri Western State University, where she entered college as a first-year music major and marched in the university band. That early exposure to music and other cultures shaped her appreciation for how communities express and celebrate life. She later shifted her focus to psychology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri.
Rachel’s clinical background includes an initial role serving urban youth in substance abuse treatment, which provided extensive experience she later applied to helping adults overcome addiction. She spent 13 years working in that field, and while living in Hawaii she developed behavior modification skills while working with troubled youth, their families, and school staff. At Metropolitan Community College she supported displaced workers in developing workplace skills to re-enter the labor force in a new career. She has maintained a private practice for 6 years focused on grief, anxiety, and life changes.
Rachel is licensed to practice as a professional counselor in Missouri and as a mental health counselor in Washington. She does not provide treatment for individuals who have experienced trauma – her licenses prevent her from working with anyone who has had a traumatic experience, even if that experience is not the reason they are seeking therapy.
Outside of her clinical work she enjoys nature walks, hiking, snorkeling, exploring new cultures, playing piano and flute, singing, dancing, and hosting game nights. She is best friends with her twin sister and her family, and her cats, Bob and Precious, are much loved and even have their own room with a view.
When clients are ready to begin, Rachel is available to support them in their journey toward improved mental health and greater well-being.
Many people want to know whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or coping with life changes, evidence and experience indicate that remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage of online therapy is the flexibility it offers – clients can choose the mode of connection that fits their routine and comfort level, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain regular appointments and integrate therapeutic work into a busy life.
Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients may switch to a different therapist at any time if they need a better fit. For many people, online therapy provides a practical, accessible option to begin or continue mental health work without sacrificing quality of care.
