Rachael Hough

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi, I’m Rachael and I would love to work with you to help you figure things out. It can feel overwhelming knowing where to start!

Life can be hard and it can be hard knowing where to turn for help! Especially if you don’t know what is wrong.

Often, we are going through the motions trying to survive another day and it’s only when something happens that makes us stop and think that we realise it’s not “normal”. But what is normal? It can look so different to many people so why don’t we work together to figure out what’s normal for you?

I have several years of experience and have worked with two mental health charities. Through my roles, I have experience helping people work with a broad range of complex mental health issues such as PTSD, trauma, suicidal thoughts, self harm, abuse, bereavement, anxiety, depression and issues of low self esteem.

I know everyone is not the same and what works for one might not work for others which is why I don’t offer advice but work with you to enable you to find the answers and solutions. You know yourself best!

About

Rachael Hough is a female therapist based in the United Kingdom who supports people dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief, low self-esteem and depression. She aims to help clients who feel overwhelmed or uncertain about where to begin when seeking support.

With 3 years of professional experience and a background that includes work with two mental health charities, Rachael has supported people through a wide range of complex issues, including PTSD, trauma, suicidal thoughts, self harm, abuse, bereavement, anxiety, depression and challenges with self-esteem.

She approaches therapy collaboratively, recognising that each person is different and that what helps one person may not suit another. Rather than offering prescriptive advice, Rachael works with individuals to uncover their own insights and practical solutions, helping them to determine what feels normal and manageable for their own lives.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

For many common challenges – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes – online therapy can make a meaningful difference and has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for these concerns.

A key benefit of online therapy is flexibility. People can connect in the way that suits them best – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which helps fit support around everyday life.

Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals and therapists, and it is possible to change practitioners if someone would prefer a different fit. For many, that combination of effectiveness and convenience makes online therapy a practical option when seeking support for common mental health concerns.
