Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I offer a safe, judgment-free space for people to explore whatever difficult experiences they may be going through. With over five years of experience as a counselor, I have learned that counseling works best when the person feels that they can say the unsayable.
Crucially, I don’t tell people what to do, or even what they need to do. I believe that no-one knows the individual better than that individual themselves and the best thing I can offer is attentive listening and the ability to reflect experiences accurately and clearly, offering the perspective that might be hard to attain when you’re in the middle of a situation.
My professional experience has taught when it works well counseling provides a way for a person to understand themselves and their situation better, and through that equip them to make clearer decisions and embrace change.
If all this sounds a little lofty, then rest assured that in person I am very down to earth. Entering into counseling for the first time is nerve-wracking enough without worrying about someone talking abstract psycho babble.
I am licensed in the UK with Over 10 years of professional work experience.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.

Peter McShane offers a safe, non-judgmental space where people can explore the difficult experiences they are facing. He believes therapy works best when someone can speak openly about what feels unsayable, and he focuses on creating an environment that makes that possible.
Rather than directing clients or prescribing what they must do, Peter concentrates on attentive listening and clear reflection. He aims to mirror experiences accurately so clients can gain the perspective that is often hard to see while immersed in a situation.
Over the course of his 13 years of practice, Peter has learned that effective counseling helps people understand themselves and their circumstances more clearly, which in turn supports better decision-making and the ability to embrace change. In person he is down-to-earth and avoids abstract psycho-babble, making the therapy experience straightforward and practical.
Peter is licensed in the United Kingdom and has experience supporting people with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit regular therapy into a busy life.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they are seeking a different therapeutic fit.
