Patricia (Patty) Earl brings nearly three decades of clinical experience to her practice in Louisiana. As a licensed professional counselor in the state, she blends multiple movement-based and somatic approaches with traditional psychotherapy training to support individuals and families.
She is board certified in dance-movement therapy, has a background as a registered nurse, and is a certified yoga instructor. Those combined trainings inform her work with both children and adults, particularly in trauma and grief therapy.
In her sessions she offers movement-informed interventions that help clients access bodily-felt emotions and cultivate mindfulness. Her clinical framework draws on systems family theory alongside Jungian and object relations perspectives, creating a layered approach to understanding relationships and inner experience.
Patty currently focuses much of her work on clients addressing eating disorders and addictions. She approaches therapy from a centered, grounded stance and is attentive in listening and responding thoughtfully to each person she sees.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person treatment.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can meet with therapists in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it easier to keep regular appointments and maintain momentum in care.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and clients may switch therapists at any time if they feel a different match would be better. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health concerns while fitting treatment into a busy life.
