Nicolette Bennett is a qualified integrative counsellor and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) practitioner. She is a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and holds her own professional insurance.
Her previous roles have included working as a substance misuse mentor, supporting people with mental health issues and complex needs, assisting adults with a range of disabilities and mobility challenges, and serving as an outreach youth worker with vulnerable young people.
She currently works with young people aged 11-18, adults, clients with complex needs, and clients who have disabilities or mobility issues. Her therapeutic practice has primarily addressed general anxiety, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), dissociation, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and both physical and sexual abuse.
Nicolette works in an integrative way, adapting methods to suit each client’s needs, and she is trained in telephone and online counselling.
Many people ask whether therapy delivered online can really help. For a range of common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or coping with major life changes - online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions.
One key advantage is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best - through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - making it easier to fit support into everyday life.
Each therapist is a licensed professional, and clients are free to switch therapists at any time if they would prefer a different fit.
