Dr. Natosha Monroe

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

There’s a lot going on around us that can make this a uniquely difficult time and space to be in. But never forget, no matter what–joy, peace, and fulfillment exist here too and are just waiting to be found! I’d love to help you find and restore that in your life.

I consider it an honor to be here for my clients in offering unconditional support for the various challenges in their lives. I enjoy reminding people of how amazing they are, despite whatever challenges are standing in their way or who may have ever told them otherwise.

Background:
I’m actively licensed in professional counseling in several states in the U.S. and I have over 20 years of experience in the field of psychology/behavioral health to include education, counseling office, international work, and inpatient settings.

I most enjoy working with clients who are experiencing stress, anxiety, and/or trauma-related symptoms and events to work through because this is my area of my expertise.
Additionally, due to my PhD in International Psychology and my background in international humanitarian work and living abroad, I enjoying connecting with expats/immigrants as a source of support.

(Please note, if I am not licensed or physically located in your area I can only see you in a supportive role as a life coach. Anytime you are experiencing significant symptoms it’s usually best to see a licensed professional in your area who is well-networked and who knows resources near you in case you need them.)

Taking the first step to seeking a happier and more fulfilling life takes courage and I am here to provide ideas and encouragement throughout that process. Whether it’s just to have a safe place to talk regularly or to work through something more specific, I look forward to meeting you and working together!

About

The world can feel overwhelming at times, but joy, peace, and a sense of fulfillment are still attainable and can be rediscovered. Dr. Natosha Monroe supports people in locating and restoring those qualities in their lives.

She approaches each therapeutic relationship with unconditional support and genuine respect, often reminding clients of their strengths despite the obstacles they face or messages they may have received from others. Serving as a steady presence, she aims to create a space where people feel seen and encouraged.

Dr. Monroe is licensed to practice counseling in both Texas and Nevada, holding professional credentials that authorize her work in those states (TX LPC 70745; NV LCPC CP5575-R). With more than 21 years of experience across education, outpatient counseling, international assignments, and inpatient settings, she brings a broad clinical background to her work. She also holds a PhD in International Psychology and has experience in international humanitarian work and living abroad, which informs her ability to connect with expatriates and immigrants seeking support.

Her clinical interests center on stress, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms and events, and she most enjoys helping clients work through these concerns. She also works with a range of issues including trauma and abuse, sleeping disorders, career difficulties, coping with life changes, LGBT concerns, relationship and family conflicts, grief, intimacy-related matters, parenting challenges, self-esteem, depression, coaching, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.

If Dr. Monroe is not licensed or physically located in a client’s area, she can provide support in a coaching capacity rather than as a licensed provider. When significant symptoms are present, she notes that it is generally best to consult a licensed professional locally who can connect clients with resources nearby.

Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling life requires courage, and Dr. Monroe offers ideas, encouragement, and a steady presence throughout that process. Whether someone seeks a regular, safe space to talk or focused work on a particular concern, she looks forward to meeting and working collaboratively with them.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of connection that best fits their needs, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule and can help maintain continuity of care. Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone decides they would prefer a different fit, they can switch therapists at any time. Online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many people seeking support for everyday mental health needs.
