Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.” – William Henley. People want to feel in control. But, when people experience internal or external change, and resist such, they can feel a loss of control. By identifying values, developing insight, and encouraging self-care, I have helped countless clients regain control. I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, residential, and inpatient; and with a variety of populations, including adults, adolescents, and children experiencing depressive, anxiety, trauma/stressor, disruptive/impulse-control, substance, or personality disorders. Presently, I specialize in adolescents and adults experiencing depressive, anxiety, or personality symptoms. These symptoms can be so paralyzing and affect, not only individuals, but the people individuals relate to. For me, it is deeply satisfying to see people free themselves from these symptoms. I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My techniques include Cognitive-Behavior, Psychodynamic, and Existential therapies. Contact me – let’s get started.

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.” – William Henley.
Michael Capre approaches therapy with the belief that people want to feel in control, and that internal or external changes – when resisted – can create a sense of lost agency. By helping clients identify their values, develop insight, and prioritize self-care, he supports individuals in reclaiming a sense of control over their lives.
He has worked in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings, and has experience with adults, adolescents, and children who have faced depressive, anxiety, trauma/stressor, disruptive or impulse-control, substance, or personality difficulties. At present, he specializes in working with adolescents and adults experiencing depressive, anxiety, or personality symptoms, recognizing how these challenges can be paralyzing for both the individual and their relationships.
Michael finds it deeply satisfying to see people reduce the hold of these symptoms and move toward greater functioning. He is credentialed as CO LPC LPC.0015363 (Licensed Professional Counselor) and draws on Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Existential therapy approaches in his work. Prospective clients are invited to reach out to begin the process.
