Melody LeVane is a licensed therapist in Texas with more than 15 years of clinical experience. She holds an MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and practices as a licensed professional counselor (TX LPC 64985).
Throughout her career she has worked with adults, couples, and adolescents, and has supported both traditional and non-traditional families. At present she sees mostly adult clients.
Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, collaborative, and holistic, with an emphasis on integrating mind and body. Melody’s primary clinical focus is Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and she also draws on Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, the Gottman Method, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as needed.
Melody provides a safe, accepting environment where clients can examine their perspectives and try out new ways of identifying patterns that may be holding them back. She aims to guide people through a process of self-discovery, offering realistic hope along with practical tools to move forward with both grace and grit. Her intent is that clients leave sessions feeling empowered, seen, and equipped to face what comes next.
Life often feels like a roller coaster - sometimes the ups and downs arrive so quickly it is hard to know where to steer, at other times there is not enough time to slow down, and sometimes the best option feels like simply holding on. Every person’s ride is unique, and when someone is not satisfied with the direction of their life, therapy can be a helpful way to change course.
When she is not working, Melody enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. She also shares her home with four rescue pups named Monkey, Panda, Roxy, and Zoey.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes - online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging, which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer a different therapist, it is possible to switch at any time to find a better fit.
