Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Currently accepting residents of the State of Delaware and international clients from countries that do not have legal requirements to be licensed in that country. I cannot accept Canadian clients, sorry.
I am a clinical social worker in Delaware with more than 30 years of professional experience in varied settings with clients of diverse backgrounds, including private practice, community mental health, prison populations, and international social work. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, concerns related to aging, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & depression. I was an expat myself for 3 years so I am familiar with some of the issues involved in living in another country.
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I utilize mindfulness and cognitive behavioral-based interventions and incorporate hypnotherapy interventions when appropriate . I believe in a holistic approach to creating change and making improvement in our lives.
Please be aware that I only use messaging as an adjunct in between sessions to communicate. I cannot provide therapy using primarily messaging.
Making the decision to begin therapy and reach out to ask for help can be daunting. Congratulations for taking that step! I look forward to accompanying you on your journey to improved wellness.

Marylou Biasotto is a Delaware-based clinical social worker and a Delaware Licensed Clinical Social Worker (DE LCSW) holding license number Q1-0012206. She brings 28 years of professional experience across a range of settings, including private practice, community mental health, prison populations, and international social work.
Her clinical focus includes support for stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and depression, coping with life changes, relationship and intimacy concerns, sleep difficulties, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem and confidence, career issues, bipolar disorder, compassion fatigue, and coaching. She also works with LGBT clients and provides care that reflects a non-religious and liberal perspective when relevant to the client’s needs.
Having lived abroad as an expat for three years, Marylou is familiar with some of the challenges involved in adapting to life in another country. She favors a holistic approach to change, combining mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioral-based interventions, and incorporating hypnotherapy when it is appropriate for a client’s goals.
Marylou tailors dialogue and treatment plans to the unique needs of each person, and she emphasizes respect, sensitivity, and compassion in her work. She currently accepts residents of the State of Delaware and international clients from countries that do not require local licensure for services rendered from outside that country; she is not able to accept clients from Canada. Messaging is used only as an adjunct between sessions – she does not provide therapy primarily via messaging.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
An important benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect in the format that best fits their routine and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain consistency in care.
Therapy provided online is delivered by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. For many people facing everyday mental health and life challenges, virtual sessions offer a practical and effective avenue for support.
