Mary Alfinito

Mary Alfinito, LCSW-R, is licensed in New York and brings 40 years of professional practice to her clinical work. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages and addresses a broad range of concerns including stress, anxiety, grief, depression, ADHD, trauma and abuse, self esteem, career questions, coping with life changes, and coaching. She also works with issues related to LGBTQ matters and gender dysphoria.

Her additional focus areas include abandonment and attachment issues, autism and Asperger Syndrome, body image, caregiver stress, chronic pain, illness and disability, codependency, communication and control problems, divorce and separation, emptiness, first responder concerns, forgiveness, guilt and shame, HIV/AIDS, impulsivity, and intellectual disability. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy.
