Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I’m so happy that you reached out for help. I am Marlene Fannon, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S). I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Ohio State University. I have been working with individuals who live with mental health and substance abuse issues, couples, and/or groups for more than twenty years in person, online, by phone, or through chat/messaging. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, coping with grief and loss, LGBTQ+ related issues, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. There are several therapies that are proven to be effective for the types of mental health issues that I typically provide counseling for, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative Therapy. It is also possible to do combinations of some of the above-listed therapy types, if you would prefer. If you are familiar with the different therapy types and have a preference, please let me know which type or combinations you would prefer. If you are not familiar with the types but would like a brief explanation of one or more of the above, let me know and I can send you that information, also. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step toward seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. You can read more about my background, education, experience, and therapy approach by clicking on my name on this page. I will try to respond to messages within 24 hours. Sometimes I may be able to respond right away, but other times I might be busy with other clients or personal matters so it might take a bit longer to reply, but never more than 24 hours. I try to offer flexibility in scheduling to meet clients’ needs, so if you need an appointment on a day or at a time that is not in my schedule, please let me know and I will try to accommodate any requests. If you would like to schedule a session, you can go to my schedule and schedule it yourself, or you can let me know which format you would prefer (a video session, telephone session, or a chat/messaging session) and what days and times would be convenient for you and I can schedule it for you. I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Marlene Fannon.

For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. It can be a practical way to get support without changing daily routines.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with therapists by video call, by phone, via live chat, or through in-app messaging, choosing the format that fits their comfort level and schedule. This flexibility often makes it easier to keep appointments and maintain therapeutic momentum.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and individuals can switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be helpful. Overall, online therapy offers an accessible option for addressing common mental health concerns while accommodating varied preferences and lifestyles.
