Lorna Wilson understands how difficult it can be to take the first step to seek support and appreciates that you have taken the time to view her profile.
Life can be very challenging, especially over the past two years, and many people find themselves facing change and uncertainty while searching for clarity and support.
After experiencing the positive impact counselling had on her own life, Lorna trained as a counsellor to share that support with others. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and is an Accredited Member (MBACP) of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy.
With 19 years of experience as a qualified counsellor, Lorna has worked with adults, young people, and children to address issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, self-compassion, family relationship difficulties, and workplace concerns.
Her core approach is person-centred. In a range of settings where time may be limited, she prioritises building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship to help clients develop strategies that promote greater fulfilment and a clearer understanding of their lives. Lorna aims to offer warmth and a non-judgemental space where people can explore the issues that matter to them.
She considers it a privilege to witness the changes that therapy can bring and looks forward to hearing from those ready to take the next step towards support.
Many people wonder whether remote counselling can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility - you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life or to keep working on issues when meeting in person is difficult.
Each therapist in this service is a licensed professional, and if you decide you would prefer a different match you are free to switch to another therapist at any time. Online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many common emotional and relationship concerns.
