Lisa Williams

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hello and welcome!
My name is Lisa Williams. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico. I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver. I have over 24 years of experience in a variety of settings helping people with various issues, such as depression and anxiety, post-traumatic stress, trauma/abuse, life changes/transitions, relationship difficulty, and other issues.

Everyone is different and has different needs at different times, so the type of therapy used is customized. The most helpful approaches are usually Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma informed models, Solution Focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and narrative therapies. It can be so helpful to feel understood and to have someone on your side to help navigate any changes you want to make. Sometimes we can make big or small life changes. Sometimes we accept things as they are and find ways to still have the life we want. My style is to understand you and what your going through, help you with self-understanding, and work together to make changes or add skills to meet your personal goals.

Life can be hard! We all need help sometimes. It would be my honor to work together with you to help navigate life’s difficulties.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most situations.

One major benefit is convenience and flexibility – individuals can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to maintain consistency and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.

Licensed professionals provide these services, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. For many people, online therapy is a practical and effective way to access professional support for everyday mental health needs.
