Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. Since you have taken the brave first step in seeking help through the challenges you face, it is now important to find the right therapist. That is because having a strong relationship with your therapist helps to increase the progress that you will make. Below you will find information about my experience and my approach in therapy to better assist you in your decision.
I am a clinical social worker licensed in Michigan. In 2015, I started providing counseling in outpatient settings and more recently with online platforms. I have worked with a variety of people from children to older adults in both rural and urban settings. My clients have identified various concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, chronic illness, and grief and loss. Prior to working as a therapist, I worked as a case manager for seven years with older adults, people with disabilities, and veterans.
My approach with clients is both understanding and interactive. I believe that therapy is a partnership between the therapist and client. The therapeutic perspectives that I work from include person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also utilize mindfulness and relaxation exercises during therapy. Together, we will create a treatment plan that is best suited to you and your situation.
I would be honored to assist you on your journey through the current struggles in your life. I look forward to working with you!
