Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am qualified in Gestalt psychotherapeutic counselling and registered in the UK with 10 years of work experience as a volunteer pre and post qualifying.
What is Gestalt therapy?
The Gestalt therapeutic approach is a ‘humanistic’ approach based on the idea that all people have the capacity to heal and grow if they are helped to have a holistic awareness of themselves and the situation/world they are in. Gestalt counselling believes that every person can become a more fully functioning person when they learn to be self-aware.
Awareness is our capacity to be open to our full experience of what we are doing (thinking, feeling, behaving) as we are doing it, in the current moment, rather than focussing on what happened in the past, or what might happen in the future. Thus, we can learn new ways of being and acting as we undo automatic embedded patterns (habits and ‘baggage’) which all human beings acquire over time.
The principles of the Gestalt Therapeutic approach are focused on the counsellor being honest, curious, willing to engage in dialogue, and non-judgmental in the here and now.
My counselling style is relaxed and friendly. I have been described as supportive, caring, and creative, in my use of metaphors and Gestalt therapy techniques.
With face to face work online I tend to work in the present moment . My philosophy is that we cannot change the past but we can explore on how we are being and doing in the here and now.
I like to focus on self – awareness work, identifying your strengths and building up resilience and resources and helping you to maximise them to overcome your obstacles. I’m here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment
I have experience in helping clients with coping with grief and loss . I also have experience in supporting those with sleeping disorders, especially insomnia. The Gestalt approach is also suitable for a variety of difficulties such stress, low mood, anxiety and depression and in situations where people feel ‘stuck’.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I also provide therapeutic coaching and new ways of seeing using Gestalt therapeutic techniques so people can have new insight into themselves and their problems/situation and then start feeling better quickly.

Linda Zack is qualified in Gestalt psychotherapeutic counselling and is registered in the United Kingdom. She has ten years of experience, having worked as a volunteer both before and after qualifying.
Her practice is informed by the Gestalt approach, a humanistic model that trusts people have the capacity to heal and grow when helped to develop holistic self-awareness. The focus is on present-moment experience – noticing thoughts, feelings, and behaviours as they occur – so habitual patterns can be explored and changed rather than remaining stuck in past events or future worries.
In therapy Linda prioritises honesty, curiosity, dialogue and a non-judgmental stance in the here and now. Her style is relaxed and friendly, and she has been described as supportive, caring and creative in her use of metaphors and Gestalt techniques.
She works with clients to build self-awareness, identify strengths, and develop resilience and resources to meet current obstacles. Linda offers a safe space for people to speak openly and honestly without fear of judgment, and she commonly supports those coping with grief and loss as well as sleeping difficulties, particularly insomnia.
The Gestalt approach she uses is also suitable for a range of difficulties including stress, low mood, anxiety and depression and for situations where people feel stuck. In addition to counselling, Linda provides therapeutic coaching and uses Gestalt methods to offer new ways of seeing problems so clients can gain insight and begin to feel better more quickly.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes – online therapy can offer outcomes comparable to traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience indicate that for these types of issues, remote therapy is often just as effective as meeting face to face.
One major advantage is flexibility. People can choose the way they connect that fits their life best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to attend consistently and integrate therapy into daily routines.
Therapy delivered remotely is provided by licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. This combination of convenience and professional support makes online therapy a practical option for many seeking help.
