Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi there. Thank you for being curious about my profile. I appreciate the difficulty involved in reaching out for help and support.
I lived in Rhode Island and had a therapy practice in Bristol, RI for years. I relocated to Salem, New Hampshire in 2019. I hold a license in NH. My license number is 2097 with the NH Board of Mental Health Practice.
I have had a long career in human services and have had my own practice as a therapist for over 10 years. I am a mature therapist, both in years and experience.
My experience has been with individuals with anxiety, panic symptoms, fears and phobias, depression symptoms such as low motivation, family and relationship stress, and self-esteem and confidence issues. I also have experience with the grief process.
My approach is first to establish trust with you, then to help you crystallize what you want to be different in your life. After you have that clarity, we will add tools to your toolbox that you can use to make the changes you desire.
I have a clinical supervisor with whom I discuss symptoms. I do not disclose any identifying information so as to protect confidentiality for my clients. Most clinicians have regular supervision and I feel it is necessary to have another professional’s perspective, advice, and support as part of my career. When you sign the agreement to work with me you are agreeing to my continued professional relationship with my supervisor that may include discussing one or more of your symptoms. And you are also benefitting from another experienced clinician’s advice. Unless I were to have a signed release from you, I am ethically prohibited from disclosing any personal information of yours that would identify you.
It’s not easy making changes in our lives, but I will give you the support, encouragement, strategies and feedback along the way that will make the process easier and more likely that you will succeed with your goals.

Linda O’Malley is a licensed mental health counselor practicing in New Hampshire with 15 years of experience. She operated a therapy practice in Bristol, Rhode Island for many years before relocating to Salem, New Hampshire in 2019. She holds licensure to practice mental health counseling in both New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
Her professional background includes a long career in human services and more than a decade running her own therapy practice. She describes herself as a mature therapist in both years and experience, and she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, panic symptoms, fears and phobias, depression-related low motivation, family and relationship stress, self-esteem and confidence struggles, and the grief process.
Linda’s approach begins with building trust and then helping clients clarify what they want to be different in their lives. Once goals are clear, she focuses on adding practical tools to each client’s toolbox so they have strategies to make the changes they desire.
She maintains a clinical supervisory relationship in which she discusses symptoms while protecting identifying client details. Supervision is a regular part of her professional practice and provides additional perspective and guidance; by signing an agreement to work together, clients acknowledge that she consults with a supervisor about symptoms when needed. Linda follows ethical requirements and will not share any identifying personal information without a signed release.
Making changes is not always easy, and Linda aims to provide support, encouragement, practical strategies, and constructive feedback to help clients progress toward their goals and sustain the changes they want to make.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their routine and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to keep regular appointments.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch to a different therapist at any time if they feel a different fit would be helpful.
