Lauren Fawley

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

My name is Lauren Fawley, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters degree in community counseling. I have been a counselor with Betterhelp for over four years. Prior to becoming an online counselor, I worked as an outpatient therapist for five years in the diverse city of Phoenix, AZ. I’m happy that while I no longer live in a major city, online counseling provides me the opportunity to continue to work with people from all backgrounds.

My experience comes from working with adults with general mental health, addiction, family concerns, and other relationship problems. I’ve had the experience to work with people in the short-term, for instance to support them through a major life event or difficult relationship situation. I’ve also worked with people in the long-term to help manage and recover from depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, and trauma and abuse.

I strongly believe in every person’s potential to grow and change for the better, whatever that may look like for you! Our therapy will be directed by you, meaning we will work together on your unique and specific needs.

I am trained in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. If you have never heard of any of that, please know that all you need to know when entering into therapy is that you will be treated with respect and that what you say will be kept in confidence. I am really grateful that I get to listen to people’s stories for a living; above all, I will work to understand and empower you!

I sincerely hope to hear from you.

About

Lauren Fawley is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona who holds a master’s degree in community counseling and brings twelve years of clinical experience to her work. She has been providing online counseling with Betterhelp for over four years. Before focusing on telehealth, she spent five years working as an outpatient therapist in the diverse city of Phoenix, AZ, and now practices remotely so she can continue supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds despite no longer living in a major city.

Her clinical experience centers on working with adults across general mental health concerns, addiction, family conflicts, and relationship issues. She has supported people in short-term work to navigate major life events or difficult relationship transitions, and in longer-term therapy to manage and recover from depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, trauma, and abuse.

She believes strongly in each person’s capacity for growth and change, and she approaches therapy as a collaborative process directed by the individual’s unique needs and goals. Lauren is trained in several evidence-based approaches – motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy – and integrates these methods to fit the client’s situation.

She emphasizes that anyone entering therapy will be treated with respect and that conversations are held in confidence. Grateful for the opportunity to listen to people’s stories, she focuses on understanding and empowering those she works with. Lauren welcomes inquiries from prospective clients and would be glad to explore whether her approach is a good fit.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether virtual therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A key advantage is the flexibility it offers. You can meet with a therapist in the format that suits you best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule. All therapists are licensed professionals, and if you decide a different approach or personality would be a better match, you have the option to switch providers at any time.
