Laura Fontanet is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) who brings over five years of experience supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. She works from a person-centred perspective, offering empathy, acceptance and genuine understanding to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings at a comfortable pace.
Alongside her core person-centred approach, Laura has completed specialist training in Trauma Studies and Gestalt therapy. She also draws on techniques from CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory when these tools are helpful, tailoring sessions to the needs and goals of each individual.
Laura has a particular interest in supporting people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, identity concerns, low self-esteem and significant life transitions. She brings a multicultural perspective to her practice and offers sessions in English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian.
Based in the United Kingdom, Laura aims to create a warm, supportive space where clients can make sense of their experiences, work through the past and find clarity for the future.
Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, evidence shows that remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person work.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and reduces barriers to getting support.
Licensed professionals deliver online sessions and are able to adapt approaches to each person’s needs. If a different therapist would be a better fit, clients have the option to switch at any time.
For many people seeking help with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical route to support and progress.
