Kirsten Suarez is a California-licensed marriage and family therapist who blends clinical training with practical behavior-analysis experience to support individuals and families. She holds board certification in behavior analysis and has worked in that field for more than 12 years, developing a specialty in supports for people diagnosed with autism and other developmental delays.
Since becoming licensed as a marriage and family therapist in California in 2018, Kirsten has worked with adults facing a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, anger management, attention differences such as ADHD, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. She brings three years of therapy-specific experience to her practice.
Her counseling style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. She treats each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and does not rely on stigmatizing labels. Kirsten draws on cognitive-behavioral techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, solution-focused strategies, and humanistic approaches, then tailors conversation and treatment plans to fit each client’s unique needs.
Kirsten emphasizes the present moment and practical steps that improve daily functioning and quality of life. She approaches therapy as a team effort, working alongside clients to identify solutions and build skills. Seeking change takes courage, and Kirsten aims to support and empower those ready to take the first steps toward a more fulfilling life.
She looks forward to working with individuals and families who are prepared to begin that work together.
