Kayla Luu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Florida who earned her master's degree in social work from Florida State University in 2016. She is licensed to provide clinical social work services in both Florida and Arizona, and she brings nine years of professional experience to her practice.
Since completing her graduate training, Kayla has worked in community mental health, within the educational system, and at an adult center. Before attending graduate school she worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families in foster-care transitioning homes and residential centers. These experiences have informed her understanding of the varied challenges people face across life stages.
Kayla approaches therapy with openness and empathy, creating a space where people feel welcomed and heard. Her work is tailored to each person’s needs, using a blend of therapeutic methods that align with individual goals and pace. Her practice focuses on helping clients feel validated and empowered as they move toward growth and healing.
She works with concerns such as stress, anxiety, parenting issues, self-esteem, coping with life changes, LGBTQ matters, relationship and family conflicts, trauma and abuse, anger management, career difficulties, depression, coaching, and ADHD. Kayla is Vietnamese-American and bilingual in English and Vietnamese. She is a wife and a mother of four, originally from Boston and now based in Southwest Florida. In her free time she enjoys being with family, reading, spending time outdoors, watching Netflix, and painting.
Kayla looks forward to supporting individuals on their therapeutic journeys and helping them find paths to healing and self-discovery.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can produce meaningful results. For a range of common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions - online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the mode of connection that works best for them - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - making it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. This adaptability helps people find the approach and support that suit their needs.
