Josephine Lane is an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist whose primary approach is Person Centered Counselling, while also practising as an Integrative Counsellor. She has additional training in Solution Focused work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and uses PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments to help tailor therapy to each individual’s needs.
Her therapeutic manner is warm and interactive, and she works without using stigmatizing labels, treating people with respect, sensitivity and compassion. This approach supports clients to explore their concerns at a pace that feels right for them.
Josephine has worked for the National Health Service in a hands-on, emergency 24/7 Community Mental Health setting for a number of years. She also has several years of experience with a mental health charity, supporting people presenting with depression, anxiety, bereavement, loneliness, isolation, health and well-being concerns, and relationship issues.
She understands that seeking therapy can take courage and that starting can feel difficult. When clients are ready to make a change, Josephine offers support and practical empowerment. She looks forward to working with you.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to choose the format that feels most comfortable.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and clients may switch therapists if they would prefer a different match. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, effective route to support and progress.
