He earned a Master of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University and a doctorate in Medical Family Therapy from East Carolina University. With 15 years of experience, Dr. Wilson takes a flexible, person-centered, and strengths-based approach, using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as a primary method to help clients identify and change unhelpful cognitive and emotional patterns. He is comfortable addressing a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, relationships, family and intimacy-related issues, coping with life changes, trauma and abuse, grief, sleep problems, parenting challenges, anger, self-esteem, career concerns, depression, compassion fatigue, and coaching needs.
Dr. Wilson primarily works with adult individuals and, as an ally of the LGBT+ community, welcomes clients in any type of relationship. He aims to create an open, non-judgmental atmosphere focused on empowerment, personal growth, and the discovery of hidden strengths so clients feel supported, motivated, and better able to work toward their full potential.
