Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Joanna White. I received my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and worked in different capacities with the Prisoner Reentry population for many years. I made the decision to shift my focus and I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California simultaneously working with women and men experiencing Domestic/Sexual Violence. Working with these two different populations has helped me gain a perspective from an offender and victim/survivor perspective. I have years of experience working with people who have experienced trauma, specifically domestic/sexual violence, childhood trauma, and disordered eating; stress/anxiety; life transitions; parental concerns; work-related stress; and stress that life throws at us. I believe any type of change is a journey and my role as a therapist is to help guide you through your journey for what makes sense to you!

Joanna White earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and spent many years working with the prisoner reentry population. She later redirected her career focus and completed a Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California while concurrently supporting women and men affected by domestic and sexual violence.
That combination of experiences has given her perspective on both offender and victim/survivor viewpoints. Over eight years she has worked with people who have experienced trauma, including domestic and sexual violence and childhood trauma, and with those coping with disordered eating, stress and anxiety, parenting and work-related concerns, and major life transitions.
She is a licensed independent social worker in Ohio, credential OH LISW I.1801006-SUPV, and practices in Ohio. Joanna views change as a journey and approaches therapy as a collaborative process, guiding each person toward goals that make sense for their life.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
A major advantage is convenience. Clients can connect in the format that fits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to keep appointments and maintain momentum in therapy.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and if a different fit is needed it is possible to switch therapists. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and flexible way to address everyday mental health needs.
