Jennifer Rhodes

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Alabama with 10 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, self-esteem/worth, grief, relationship issues, and adjustment to numerous life events. I have also helped many people begin the most courageous healing process from trauma and abuse.

My therapy style is warm and compassionate and I firmly beleive that each person is worthy and deserving of peace in their lives. At different times in our lives, we all struggle with difficulty and I am honored and privileged every time a client, couple, or family allow me to join them on their journey. It is my hope to restore serenity into the lives of my clients. My approach varies based on client needs and often includes a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy with psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. I often utilize mindfulness-based strategies and find techniques from dialectical behavior therapy useful for many clients as well.

It takes courage and strength to begin a journey towards a more peaceful, serene life and taking the first steps can seem overwhelming. If you are ready, I am here to support and empower you to live the most fulfilling life and hopefully find the healing you deserve.

I look forward to working with you!

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or adapting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. One major benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to incorporate therapy into busy schedules and to maintain consistent care. Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients may choose to switch to a different therapist at any time if they feel a different fit would be better. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical, effective way to address common mental health concerns and to work toward meaningful improvement.
