Jennifer Haskett

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again expecting a different result. Do you tell yourself: “This time it will work. This time it will go my way”? Are you ready to try things differently? Are you ready to stop the insanity? Of course you are! You’re here. And that’s the first step. Let’s work together toward the next step…..

A little about me: I’m a Marriage Family Therapist in California licensed since 2008. I’ve worked with various populations but mainly with youth and their families focusing on parenting skills, relationships, addictions, and trauma issues to name a few. Therapeutically, I draw upon different counseling modalities (such as cognitive behavioral techniques and Bowenian family systems) while addressing you, the client, as a whole being— not solely the presenting situation and/or problem.
Personally, I’ve been married for 16 years and we have an eleven-year-old. We love camping and going to the beach when we can.

About

Jennifer Haskett invites people who find themselves repeating the same patterns and hoping for different outcomes to try a different approach. She frames therapy as a collaborative step toward breaking unhelpful cycles and discovering new ways to cope and connect.

She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and has held that license since 2008. Jennifer has worked with various populations but has focused primarily on youth and their families, addressing parenting skills, relationship challenges, addictions, and trauma. She also works with concerns such as depression, stress and anxiety, grief, intimacy matters, sleeping difficulties, anger and self-esteem issues, and career-related struggles.

Therapeutically, Jennifer blends approaches to meet the needs of the whole person rather than treating only the presenting problem. Her practice draws on cognitive behavioral techniques as well as Bowenian family systems ideas, adapting methods to what each client or family requires. She balances professional focus with a down-to-earth style grounded in real-life experience.

Outside of work Jennifer has been married for 16 years and is a parent to an eleven-year-old. She and her family enjoy camping and trips to the beach when they can fit them in.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits their routines and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability can make it easier to maintain consistent care when schedules or circumstances change. Licensed professionals provide online services, and if a different match is desired clients are typically free to switch therapists. Overall, online therapy offers an accessible option for addressing everyday mental health and relationship concerns while fitting more smoothly into busy lives.
