Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! I’m Janet Larsen Caldwell, a licensed mental health counselor in both New York and Florida, and I am wondering:
Have you ever scrutinized your relationships with your children or the connection between you and your partner? Are you trying to balance work and home? Are you blaming yourself or have you ever had the feeling that maybe it’s you, but would never want to reveal that?
Your personality and/or cultural upbringing may be preventing you from the happiness you desire with the special people in your life! Instead of labeling your issues and behaviors, we can work with what you have. By making changes to accommodate your needs and relieve you of those unwanted feelings of anxiety, depression, stress and, perhaps, loneliness, you and your family may be on your way to increased happiness.
At BH, we provide a safe and welcoming space to discuss the problems/issues you are tired of ruminating over. If your family and friends have not been helpful, you may be happy to find the answers you need here.
With an almost nursing degree years ago, the profession was not for me. All those credits and a little extra work provided a BA in Human Development (SUNY) and later, an MA in Counseling and Community Psychology through Sage Graduate School.

Janet Caldwell is a licensed mental health counselor with two decades of clinical experience, practicing in Florida. She helps adults and families address stress, anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy and parenting challenges, grief, self-esteem concerns, depression, coping with life changes, coaching needs, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
Janet offers a calm, nonjudgmental space to explore the relationship dynamics and daily pressures that often leave people second-guessing themselves or feeling isolated. She is licensed to practice as a mental health counselor in both Florida and New York (FL LMHC MH16085, NY LMHC 004342-1) and brings 20 years of experience to her work. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from SUNY and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Community Psychology from Sage Graduate School. Earlier studies in nursing provided transferable credits that helped shape her path into counseling.
Janet combines clinical training with a compassionate, coaching-oriented approach to help clients find realistic, sustainable ways to feel better and strengthen their most important relationships.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and adapting to life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person services for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility – you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to schedule care around work, family, and other commitments.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if you decide you would prefer a different therapist at any time, you have the option to switch to find a better fit. Online therapy can be a practical and accessible way to get support for everyday mental health concerns.
