Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a registered member of the BACP in the UK and have 16 years of professional work experience in private and agency practice. I am a integrative counsellor which means I am trained in and use different counselling techniques to achieve the best result for my clients – this allows me to tailor the work we do to suit you and your problems and that it can be adapted to better fit as your progress. I have experience in helping clients with a wide range of problems including stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger, coping with grief and loss, & depression. I believe that counselling should be client led and that you have many strengths that will assist you through this process, it may just be that they have slipped out of view at this time . My role is to walk alongside you through your counselling, supporting as needed but allowing you to move along at your pace as you develop resilience. Remember it takes courage to seek help and to take the first steps towards a change, so maybe you are already stronger than you believe.

Jane Wharmby is a registered member of the BACP in the UK and brings 15 years of professional experience from both private and agency practice. As an integrative counsellor she draws on a range of counselling methods so the work can be tailored to each person’s needs and adapted as progress is made.
She has supported people with a wide spectrum of difficulties including stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger, coping with grief and loss, and depression. Her approach is practical and adaptable, matching techniques to what will best help the individual client.
Jane believes counselling should be led by the client and that people carry strengths which can help them move through difficult times – strengths that may simply be harder to see right now. Her role is to walk alongside clients through their counselling, offering support when needed while allowing them to move at their own pace and develop resilience.
Seeking help takes courage, and Jane recognises that taking the first steps toward change can already be an important sign of strength.
Many people ask whether online therapy can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adapting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and if a different fit is needed it is possible to switch therapists. For many people, remote sessions provide an accessible, effective route to support and progress.
