Ingrid-Maria Nordgren works with people who want to deepen their understanding of themselves, their bodies and their relationships, with the aim of living more creative and healthy lives.
She supports clients in processing life experiences and emotions so they can move forward with greater awareness and choice. Whether a person has faced trauma, a relationship difficulty at work or with friends or family, or is struggling with stress, depression or anxiety, Ingrid-Maria offers reflective enquiry to help new possibilities and trust emerge.
Her approach is attuned to the body-mind connection - noticing breath, emotions, non-verbal signals, words and personal history - and she emphasises the importance of feeling safe and accepted in order to express and explore fully.
In therapy she works as a partner or companion, supporting the unfolding process with courage, kindness and at times humour, and she will also work to challenge unhelpful patterns of behaviour, thought and feeling when appropriate.
Ingrid-Maria has practised in private practice for many years and brings a relational, eclectic and integrative style. She is a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner and Teacher, which means she is trained to pay careful attention to the body’s non-verbal cues and to the value of feeling at home in one’s body.
She is a female, older, non-religious therapist based in the United Kingdom with 13 years of professional experience.
