Hannah Gibson has been practicing since receiving her graduate degree from Indiana University in 2012 and has built a decade of clinical experience working with a broad range of people and presenting concerns.
She is licensed to practice in Kentucky as a professional counselor and is currently returning to school to pursue a doctorate in psychology, which expands her training and exposes her to additional therapeutic skills and populations.
Hannah is passionate about helping people navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties and other life challenges. She emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and works to create a warm, welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable sharing and exploring difficult issues.
Her approach to therapy is collaborative and flexible - she does not rely on a single technique or theory but instead meets clients where they are and draws on the tools that best meet each person’s needs. Hannah recognizes that reaching out for help can be difficult and commends those who take that step toward change. She supports clients in making progress toward their goals and looks forward to meeting new people ready to begin that work.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can provide meaningful support. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, research indicates that remote therapy can be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions for many individuals.
A major benefit of online therapy is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to access care from different locations.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and clients have the option to switch therapists if they decide a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, remote therapy offers a practical, accessible route to begin or continue mental health work.
