Gareth Blake offers personalised counselling that adapts to each person’s needs and circumstances. He works with a wide range of concerns, including LGBT issues, relationships, grief and loss, intimacy-related difficulties, coping with life changes, stress and anxiety, addictions, family matters, trauma and abuse, sleep problems, anger, self-esteem and depression.
With five years of clinical experience, Gareth’s training has been approved by BACP and CPCAB, two of the largest counselling organisations in the United Kingdom. He has also completed specialist training in autism, dementia, and grief and loss, and he draws on ongoing professional learning to inform his practice.
His approach is integrative and holistic, blending emotional exploration with attention to thoughts and behaviours so clients can work toward practical change as well as emotional understanding. Counselling is delivered in a non-judgmental environment where personal freedom of expression is respected.
In addition to individual work, Gareth runs group therapy using Dungeons and Dragons, a storytelling and role-playing format that uses character creation and shared narratives to explore personal issues. This group option can be particularly helpful for people who find social situations challenging, as it provides a structured, playful setting to practise social skills and emotional processing while engaging in a creative activity.
Gareth aims to support clients through collaborative therapy focused on understanding challenges, developing coping strategies, and promoting personal growth. He is based in the United Kingdom and offers a supportive space for people seeking to move toward greater wellbeing.
