Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Pluralistic Counsellor, which means I may work in a number of different modalities (similar to integrative counselling), where I work in a person-centred modality but draw elements from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Creative therapies, Solution Focussed therapy or Psychodynamic approaches depending on what the client works well with. I work with clients that struggle with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety and depression. I work within a safe, therapeutic and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore what they are bringing into the counselling room. My journey started by studying a BSc Psychology (Hons) and volunteering for a suicide prevention charity which then led me to embark on a career in Counselling where I decided to study the MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and never looked back. I really enjoy working collaboratively with clients.

Emma Bolland is a pluralistic counsellor who combines a person-centred stance with techniques drawn from a range of approaches to suit each client. She commonly integrates elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), creative therapies, solution-focused methods and psychodynamic ideas depending on what best supports the person in front of her.
She works with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety and depression, and offers a therapeutic, non-judgemental space where clients can explore what they bring into the counselling room. Emma values collaborative work and aims to tailor sessions to each individual’s needs.
Her pathway into counselling began with a BSc Psychology (Hons) and volunteering for a suicide prevention charity, which led her to complete an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling. She continues to draw on that training and practical experience to support clients through change and challenge.
Many people ask whether therapy delivered online can really help, and for common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or managing life transitions, online therapy is often found to be as effective as face-to-face work. This makes remote sessions a viable option for those seeking support with everyday mental health challenges.
One major benefit is the flexibility it offers – clients can choose the format that fits their needs and routine, whether that is video calls, phone conversations, live chat or in-app messaging. That variety makes it simpler to access therapy around work, family or other commitments.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. For many people, the accessibility and adaptability of online therapy make it a practical step toward addressing their concerns and moving forward.
