Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Housden, and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a BACP-registered counsellor with over 15 years of counselling experience and more than 25 years working in the mental health field. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.
My core training is in integrative therapy, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you and work at your pace to help you move toward clarity, healing, and strength.
I’ve worked with adults and young people facing a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, addiction, stress, anger, trauma and abuse, depression, bereavement and grief, self-harm, low self-esteem
My background includes working in schools, specialist services, and community settings. I currently work within a peripatetic team and also provide therapy here on BetterHelp.
Alongside my professional training, I bring personal lived experience of overcoming challenges. I believe this allows me to connect with my clients in an authentic, human way-with deep empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. That’s okay. Therapy can be a powerful step toward understanding yourself, gaining perspective, and finding new ways to cope and grow. You don’t have to go through this alone-I’m here to walk beside you

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Each therapist is a licensed professional, and clients may choose to switch therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit.
