My name is Elizabeth, I’m a fully qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP. In addition, I am qualified in Trauma informed counselling with Children and Young people, an MA in Infant Mental Health, accredited 3 step process (Rewind) practitioner for birth trauma and an accredited Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) practitioner. My experience includes over 30 years working with children and families in the community and voluntary sector and 13 years as a counsellor in charities. I currently work as a counsellor in a Parent mental health charity and I’m passionate for ensuring all families get the best start.
Mental health and wellbeing will ebb and flow throughout our life from childhood to adulthood. My work includes adults, children and teenagers, helping to navigate through life’s challenges in a safe, non judgmental space. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & parenting issues. My special interest is in antenatal/postnatal, birth trauma, bonding/attachment, infant mental health, parenting, children and teenagers.
I understand that it can be daunting when choosing a counsellor to support your mental health or that of your child or teenager and it is important to find the right fit for you. I provide a tailored approach to each individuals needs, helping you to set the pace for whatever you would like to work on together. She is also qualified in trauma-informed counselling for children and young people, holds an MA in Infant Mental Health, and is an accredited 3 Step Process (Rewind) practitioner for birth trauma as well as an accredited Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) practitioner.
She has 14 years of experience providing therapy. Her background also includes over 30 years of work with children and families in the community and voluntary sector, and 13 years as a counsellor in charities. Elizabeth currently works as a counsellor in a parent mental health charity and is committed to helping families get the best possible start.
Elizabeth works with adults, children and teenagers, supporting people through stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, and parenting concerns. Her particular interests include antenatal and postnatal issues, birth trauma, bonding and attachment, infant mental health, and work with parents and young people.
She provides a tailored approach that allows each person to set the pace for what they want to work on, offering a safe, non-judgmental environment for therapeutic work.
