Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am versed in the management of women’s issues, specifically women of color. I served this population for more than two decades and written several books where the focus has been on women of color coming into their own. Notable is my book titled ‘Even Superwoman Needs To Cry Sometimes’.
I am direct in my approach, with the expectation that you come ready to grow and make change in your life. As such I am focused on where you (the client) want to go (your goals) and utilizing the strengths/assets you have at your disposal to promote healing and growth. I will support your growth even as I challenge your thinking.
I am respectful of your cultural values and give credence to his in our clinical engagements. Spirituality, hence, (not necessarily religion) is often a component of treatment, however, this is at your discretion.
Our time together is your time; this is your platform. This is your space to share without fear of reprisal or judgment.

Dr. Doris “Dee” Hann-Morrison brings 25 years of clinical experience supporting women, with a specialized focus on women of color. She has worked with this community for more than two decades and is the author of several books centered on helping women of color come into their own, including the notable title ‘Even Superwoman Needs To Cry Sometimes’.
She takes a direct, results-oriented approach and expects clients to arrive ready to engage in growth and change. Her work centers on where the client wants to go – the goals they set – and on drawing from the strengths and assets the client already possesses to promote healing and forward movement. She provides encouragement while also challenging unhelpful thinking to foster progress.
Dr. Hann-Morrison is respectful of cultural values and intentionally incorporates those considerations into clinical work. Spirituality, understood broadly and not necessarily equated with religion, is often included in treatment when the client chooses to make it part of the process.
Sessions are dedicated to the client’s needs and priorities – a space to speak openly without fear of reprisal or judgment. She is a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina (SC LPC 3580) and practices from that foundation of training and experience.
