Dr. Diana Rowan is a psychotherapist based in North Carolina with 20 years of clinical experience. She offers support for a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, self-esteem struggles, depression, addictions, family conflicts, grief, intimacy-related issues, career challenges, and coping with life changes.
Her work is trauma-informed and she partners with clients to build on existing strengths while exploring new perspectives on relationships, life events, and difficult situations. Dr. Rowan aims to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for adults who feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or in need of an objective, trusted person to discuss private matters.
A U.S. Army veteran, she is experienced in working with veterans and first responders, particularly around post-traumatic stress and secondary trauma, often called compassion fatigue. She also has expertise supporting people living with HIV and current or former college and professional athletes.
Dr. Rowan holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina (NC LCSW C006174) and has held that credential since 2008. She tailors therapy to each person’s needs and prefers to collaborate with clients on topics and methods that suit them best.
