Darrell Patterson is a Florida-based mental health clinician who has spent nine years supporting people as they work toward a healthier, more balanced life.
He is licensed in Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (license MH19171) and blends cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approaches when working with children and families to produce practical, measurable progress.
Patterson believes deeply in the value of the therapeutic relationship - built on trust and unconditional positive regard - as a space to learn how the mind and body can be trained toward greater well-being. He acknowledges that life brings challenges that can produce anxiety, depression and other forms of distress, and he brings both clinical training and personal humility to the collaborative work of reshaping damaging narratives and pursuing better quality of life.
His professional path includes an undergraduate degree from Florida State University, an early career as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, and roles in business and corporate training before answering a call to clinical work. He earned a master’s degree in counseling and psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2012 and has focused much of his practice on helping people move beyond depression, anxiety and unresolved trauma.
Patterson offers an approachable, evidence-informed style and welcomes collaboration even when worldviews do not fully align, aiming to provide counsel and encouragement while assisting clients through life changes, relationship and family issues, addictions, attention concerns, mood disorders and other areas of difficulty.
