Daniel Palmer is an integrative counsellor with five years of experience, working with both individuals and couples and drawing on techniques from different therapeutic approaches.
He aims to guide clients through difficult periods so they can develop practical ways to feel more content and fulfilled in their lives. Sessions are client-centred and focus on each person’s needs, delivering an empathetic, non-judgemental environment for exploring problems and life experiences.
Daniel is based in Sleaford and offers sessions online, over the phone and face to face, ensuring that people who prefer not to meet in person can still access support. He recognises that taking the first step can feel daunting and seeks to make clients feel as safe and comfortable as possible throughout their therapeutic journey.
His work has been carried out in private practice for five years, during which he has supported hundreds of clients, and includes experience supporting survivors of sexual abuse at Trust House in Grantham and working with clients at Lincoln Trauma Centre.
He specialises in stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, eating difficulties, depression, low self-esteem, autism and ADHD, and works with LGBT clients. He also supports relationship and family issues, grief, intimacy-related concerns, anger and coping with life changes, and has a particular interest in men’s mental health and encouraging men to access therapy.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy can be equally effective as meetings in person. Research and practice indicate that typical presenting issues respond well to remote sessions delivered by trained professionals.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that fits their life best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to attend sessions around work, family and other commitments.
Therapy delivered online still involves licensed professionals who use established techniques to support clients, and individuals may change therapists if they prefer a different fit. This adaptability helps people find an approach and practitioner that suit their needs.
Overall, online therapy can offer a practical and accessible way to work on common mental health and relationship concerns while fitting treatment into everyday life.
