Dallas McGlinn draws on varied life experiences and a deep interest in the human condition to provide empathetic, nonjudgmental counseling. She earned a master’s degree in Sociology followed by a Master of Social Work, and has extensive community outreach experience both as a professional and as a volunteer.
With five years of clinical work, Dallas offers therapy to people from all walks of life in Louisiana, designing treatment plans that are individualized to each person’s needs. She assists clients in processing intense emotions, adjusting to change, navigating grief, cultivating forgiveness to support healing, examining how the past shapes the present, and managing anger, anxiety, and stress.
Her practice also addresses career difficulties, goal setting, boundary work, financial concerns, compassion fatigue, addictions, relationship challenges, family conflict, low self-esteem, and depressive symptoms. Dallas employs a range of interventions - including psychoanalytic ideas, cognitive behavioral techniques, solution-focused approaches, narrative therapy, journaling, and mindfulness - selecting methods that best fit the client and situation.
She is a licensed clinical social worker in both Tennessee and Louisiana and aims to help each person find greater peace and meaningful change. Dallas holds the view that every person is deserving of respect and care, and she brings that commitment to her work.
